About Us

Who are we?

We are a team of 12 undergraduate students in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham. We come from a variety of physics degree programs and have completed either 2 or 3 years of our undergraduate degrees.

What are we doing?

We are working with Maple TA, an automatic marking system for mathematics, to create a bank of questions to aid the student learning experience. We aim to create resources for :

  • Year 1 mathematics across all Engineering Schools
  • Year 1 questions for the School of Mathematics (transfer from previous software)
  • Year 2 core mathematics for physics (transfer from previous software)
  • Other physics modules for which  Maple TA examples might be beneficial.

Who is supervising us?

Dr Nicola Wilkin, Senior Lecturer in Theoretical Physics

Jon Watkins,  PhD Researcher, Theoretical Physics Group

Austin Tomlinson, PhD Researcher, Theoretical Physics Group
